Village Kitchen is a destination for the community to gather and enjoy a Southern-influenced, comfort food menu. The centerpiece of the restaurant’s kitchen is a stone pizza oven, which turns out a variety of creative and delicious flatbreads, certainly a specialty of the house. A farm-to-table menu highlighting delectable dishes made from fresh local ingredients perfectly complements a broad selection of wines, craft beer, cocktails and sparkling juices.

Village Kitchen’s warm and inviting setting features a thoughtful design that celebrates its location. There are tables and booths for indoor dining and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining. Delivery and takeout will be available as well.

just off Highway 14, and is open

Wednesday through Sunday

Tanner Marino

Executive Chef

As Executive Chef, Tanner is responsible for overseeing every dining component of the Village Kitchen. Tanner has lived in the South for most of his life and grew up in an Italian family, where the tradition of coming together over a home-cooked meal was constant. After finding himself gravitating towards the kitchen in his teens, Tanner enrolled in culinary school before moving to Greenville, where he worked in some of the most renowned kitchens in the city before joining the team at Hartness. In addition to his responsibilities at the Village Kitchen, Tanner will also head up the food and beverage experience at Hotel Hartness, now under construction and scheduled to open in 2022.

When asked what excites him most about kicking off with Village Kitchen, Chef Tanner responded “Being able to offer something really unique to Greenville and the Hartness community. Also just getting the first of many restaurant concepts open on the property and setting the standard moving forward.”

Village Kitchen features an all-day menu with Southern-influenced comfort food, creative twists on familiar sandwiches, salads, shareables, and a variety of flatbread pizzas made in the kitchen’s massive stone pizza oven. A curated selection of wines, beers and canned cocktails are also available.
