You can choose from a curated selection of pre-designed plans, many created by our town planner Lew Oliver, or design your own home from a clean sheet of paper.

Once your plans are set, Hartness’ impressive list of Builder’s Guild members brings the dream to life. The Hartness Builder’s Guild is comprised of some of the finest custom home builders in the Greenville area. They were selected by the Hartness family because they share a passion to construct high-quality homes that speak to the individuality and unique lifestyle of each homeowner. At Hartness, we seek to build ‘inheritable homes’ that will be passed down from generation to generation.

In 1940, Tom Hartness purchased the Pepsi-Cola Bottling rights in Greenville, S.C. Over the next 70 years, the Hartness company evolved as a total packaging solutions provider with over 100 patents and a worldwide network of clients. Tom’s son, Pat, grew up in the business and eventually assumed the CEO role and his son Sean became a senior executive in the business. After a decades-long run as one of Greenville’s most successful home-grown business ventures, the family sold Hartness International in 2009.
