AN OWNER’S HAVEN OF
Fun and Recreation
Whether it’s a day spent splashing around the pool or an evening spent telling stories around the fire, there is always something fun to do at Hartness. There is truly something for everyone: hiking, kayaking, walking, paddleboarding, tennis, fitness, swimming…and that’s just the beginning. The beauty of Hartness is it gives each member of the family the opportunity to do as much, or as little, as you desire.
The Epicenter of Hartness Living
A great clubhouse often sets the tone for a community. This will be the embodiment of classic clubhouses throughout the South, imbued with genuine hospitality, charm, and grand moments waiting to happen. It is here that residents will find a wide variety of activity and pursuits. The Clubhouse will be home to the Hartness Wellness Center, which will showcase cardio and weight studios, personal training, group wellness classes and more. The Clubhouse will also feature wonderful relaxation and gathering spaces along with an “owner’s kitchen” for catering private events.
Cool off and take a swim
As is true of any premier amenitized residential community, a dynamic pool complex is central to the enjoyment of residents. The Hartness Pool Complex is planned to offer a private adult pool, a junior Olympic pool, and a festive kiddie pool with water features. Cabanas, fire pits, and an outdoor kitchen will help ensure that this will serve as a focal point long after daylight hours.
Step up your game and your health
At Hartness, wellness and fitness are important components of the lifestyle here. We are committed to providing residents the opportunity to enjoy a healthy lifestyle centered on the great outdoors. The Sports Garden, scheduled to be completed this summer, will be home to a Sport Court, a Bocce Court, a Croquet Field, and an inviting children’s playground.
TENNIS & PICKLEBALL
Work on your serve
One of the cornerstones of Hartness is creating spaces for residents to get outdoors and participate in a multitude of fitness and wellness options. Opportunities to connect with family and friends and simply have fun are in bountiful supply here. Our first neighborhood tennis facility will soon begin construction and will feature two regulation-size courts that will also be striped for Pickleball, giving residents the option to enjoy different types of experiences.
Explore the tranquility of nature
Generations ago when the Hartness family began to acquire this exceptional parcel of land, they were attracted to its rolling pastures, water features and peaceful hardwood forests. As you wander the 180 acres of Nature Preserve at Hartness, it’s hard to believe you’re only twenty minutes from downtown Greenville and half that distance from the shopping and dining districts of Pelham and Woodruff Roads. 40% of the neighborhood is part of the Preserve, with 15 miles of biking and walking trails that meander by tranquil lakes, flowing creeks, and lushly canopied woodlands, all just waiting to be explored.
FITNESS & SPA
Step up your game and your health

FISHING & KAYAKING
Enjoy the lakes at Hartness
The Hartness community represents all the beauty and majesty of the south: long-range mountain vistas, creeks and streams, forests, gently rolling topography, and a number of idyllic ponds and lakes perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. Best of all, we have a collection of kayaks and paddle boards that are complimentary for our residents to take out on the water to enjoy for an hour, an afternoon, or the entire day.
A gathering place for all at Hartness
One of the heartbeats of any traditional neighborhood development is its Central Park area, a large greenspace open and available to every member of the community. We call ours the Grand Lawn, and it’s a place that connects families and friends in a beautiful open space that is just as conducive to soaking up the sun on a weekday afternoon in May as it is to taking in a thrilling community fireworks display on July 4th. With gorgeous long-range mountain views in the distance and inviting places to sit, run, fly a kite and play catch with the kids, the Grand Lawn will surely be a place for you to make special family memories.
Shopping right in your community
This will be the hub of activity and energy at Hartness: a place to shop, dine, relax, explore, and gather with friends and family. It will be home to the much-anticipated Village Kitchen. Opening this Fall, the Village’s first restaurant will offer a bistro-style experience serving up fresh, farm-to-table entrees that present a delectable twist to classic southern cuisine. The Village Center will also be home to a number of boutique shops and fine stores as well as exciting residential options.
